How it works

  1. Define a nodeYour VPS, how many redirects, which servers they point to.
  2. Run one command on the VPSEvery redirect registers with Steam as its own server.
  3. A player connectsThey land on your server. Authentication stays there.
  4. Watch it in the panelRedirects, players, countries, events. Changes apply on their own.

From the panel

Rotating hostnames

Several names on the same redirect, swapped on every refresh.

Displayed map and players

de_dust2 at 31/32, or the real values of your server.

Steam regions

Fixed, or random per redirect so you appear in every regional filter.

Several destinations

Redirects are split round-robin between your servers.

Limits

Max sessions per redirect and expiry for idle ones.

New token any time

Rotate a node's token and the old agent stops reporting.

Questions

Does it raise my players' ping?

Traffic goes through the VPS. A VPS in the same country as the server adds 1–3 ms. Pick one close to the server.

How many redirects can one VPS run?

About 7 MB of RAM per redirect. 2 GB of RAM comfortably runs 200 redirects. The panel sets no limit.

Do all redirects show up in the Steam browser?

Every redirect registers with its own SteamID. How many the browser shows depends on the client's filters and Valve's rules for a single IP.

What happens when my server is full or down?

The player gets your server's refusal, and the panel logs server_rejected. If the server does not answer, the session expires.

Does my VPS need anything special?

Debian 12, Ubuntu 22.04 or RHEL 8 and newer. Your chosen UDP ports and the Steam ports open in the firewall. The script installs the rest.

Where is my data?

There are no passwords on the VPS. The agent reports to the panel with the node's token. Player IPs are never public.
